Síle’s Story

Síle’s path into confidence coaching wasn’t planned. In 2010, she was working in Dublin’s financial services sector — a high-pressure environment where looking confident was expected, regardless of how you actually felt inside. She was managing anxiety about presentations, client meetings, and the constant performance of professional certainty. That experience became her starting point.

Rather than pushing through with willpower, she decided to study the psychology behind self-doubt and self-belief. She completed her Master’s degree in Behavioural Psychology at University College Cork, focusing specifically on how people develop lasting confidence. That’s when she realised something crucial: the motivational advice everyone talks about — “just believe in yourself” — doesn’t actually work for most people.

So she developed her own approach. Instead of abstract motivation, she built practical frameworks. Instead of all-or-nothing transformation, she focused on incremental progress. Instead of one-size-fits-all techniques, she created tools that adapt to who you actually are. That methodology became the foundation for everything she does at Stride Assured Limited.

Over the past 14 years, she’s worked with major Irish corporations — KPMG, Bank of Ireland, Irish Life — alongside SMEs and community organisations. She’s trained over 3,200 individuals in confidence-building techniques. But the real measure of her work isn’t the numbers. It’s the consistency: clients who report that the small daily courage challenges actually stick, that their affirmations feel real, that celebrating incremental progress genuinely builds lasting self-belief.

What drives her? Witnessing the compound effect of small, consistent action. She’s learned that transformation doesn’t happen because someone finally “believes” — it happens because they’ve practiced new behaviour, seen it work, and built evidence for themselves. That’s where real confidence comes from.
